The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase 2, committing ₹4.4 lakh crore for construction of 15,000 km of new expressways, ring roads, and access-controlled highways across India between 2025 and 2035.
The approval includes 35 new expressway corridors, 12 ring roads around major cities, and 8 economic corridor links connecting industrial clusters to ports. UP, Rajasthan, MP, and Maharashtra get the highest allocation.
